1. What information of yours does DeafMatchInternational.com collect?

When you register, you provide us with Public and Private information.

Public Information is what you want other members to see on your profile. This information includes your username and the contents of your profile including your photo. This information is meant to be seen by members and visitors to the site but cannot be used to identify a specific member by name, address, or other profile information.

Private information is information you provide for us that is NOT seen by anyone other than the Management on DeafMatchInternational.com. This information includes but is not limited to: email address, first name, last name, date of birth, credit card number for payment, a user-specified password, mailing address, zip code and telephone number.

Information that users do not submit to us:

AGGREGATE: This is information we collect that is not personally identifiable, such as browser type and IP address. This information is gathered for all users to the site.

2. What are "cookies" and how does DeafMatchInternational.com use them?

A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a Web site to the hard drive of your computer so that the Web site may identify you and track your activities on the Web site. DeafMatchInternational.com has security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your user data under our control. We use physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect any personally identifiable data stored. Only authorized employees have access to the information your username, password and credit card information. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur, we take many precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurances.

You should log out of your browser at the end of each computer session to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence, especially if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet cafe.

4. How can you edit or delete your information or remove your account?

If you would like to change your Username*, you must first DELETE your account by going to the "Edit Account" page, and then create a NEW profile with your new Username. If you would like to change your e-mail address, you may send an e-mail to: webmaster@deafmatchinternational.com and we will change it for you. If you would like to edit other information in your profile, go to the "Edit Account" page and click on "Edit Profile". If you would like to remove your account, go to "Edit Account" then click on "Delete Account."
*NOTE: You CANNOT change your Username if you are a DELUXE MEMBER.

5. Who do you share my information with?

We do not sell, rent, share, trade or give away any of your private information except to the financial institution that processes your credit card transactions unless required by law.

This policy may be updated from time to time, so please check back periodically.

REFUND POLICY

It is understood and agreed that DeafMatchInternational.com does not grant refunds for paid memberships. In the event that service is unavailable for an unreasonable duration of time (other than Acts of God, system maintenance or upgrades) DeafMatchInternational.com may agree an exchange of the unsatisfactory month, for an additional one month subscription of the service.

MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age are not an incarcerated individual.

You represent that your use of the DeafMatchInternational.com will not violate any applicable law.

Your membership is for your personal use, and you will not authorize others to use your account, including your profile or Email.

You will only post ONE profile and are solely responsible for all content that is displayed through your profile, including any Email messages, and for your interactions with other members of DeafMatchInternational.com.

You will treat Emails and other information as Private and will not forward that information without permission of the originator of the information.

You will not harass or spam others or use any obscene, racist, or otherwise offensive language, either in Public posted material or in Private Emails sent to other DeafMatchInternational.com members.

You will not use DeafMatchInternational.com to libel, defame, or slander any person.

You will not post any information that infringes the privacy, property and including but not limited to the intellectual property rights of any person.

As a paying member of DeafMatchInternational.com, you will be responsible for all charges incurred in accordance with stated prices and billing policies.

DEAFMATCHINTERNATIONAL.COM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Personal information that you choose to disclose on this service. Please be careful in selecting the type of information you put on your profile on DeafMatchInternational.com.

If information provided by other DeafMatchInternational.com members contains inaccurate, inappropriate or offensive material, products or services, DeafMatchInternational.com will not assume any responsibility or liability.

DeafMatchInternational.com DOES NOT monitor or assume any responsibility for the content of private Email messages exchanged between members.

DeafMatchInternational.com DOES NOT guarantee that the contents of Emails will not contain material that could be offensive to some.

DeafMatchInternational.com DOES NOT monitor or resolve disputes between members.

At the request of DeafMatchInternational.com, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DeafMatchInternational.com, its directors, employees, and third parties, from your use of the service, including any violation of the rules contained within this Agreement or any accusation that the information that you publish infringes the intellectual property rights (such as copyright, trade secret, trademark, or patent) of any third party or that such information libels, slanders or invades the privacy of any third party.
